Hartford Marathon Training Week 6

Hartford Marathon Training Week 6

This past week of training was awesome. I may not have done have speed work or hill repeats, but since I completed 2 long runs within 6 days, my total mileage for the week was pretty high 🙂 I’ve really been focusing on stretching to make sure I don’t hurt myself.

Hartford Marathon – Week 6

Monday [8/8] – 15 miles -> it was hot AF! Not sure what I was thinking going running in the middle of the afternoon. I definitely stopped to walk a few times.

Wednesday [8/10] – 5 miles + ab asanasimage

Thursday [8/11] – 7 miles

Friday [8/12] – 5 miles + ab asanas

Saturday [8/13] –  7 miles + ab asanas

Sunday [8/14] – 16 miles

TOTAL MILEAGE = 55 miles

I’m thankful the rest of August isn’t as busy as the whole summer has been. It was nice to spend the weekend getting everything in order & relaxing. Hard to believe it’s already mid-August though! 53 days till race day!

Did you watch the women’s Olympic marathon? OMG I couldn’t imagine running 26.2 miles in 2:24… truly incredible.

Did you have a good weekend?

  • I can’t believe we’re already mostly through with summer! My brother started school today and my sister is about to head back to college! :'( I sat in bed and watched the Olympics all day yesterday. It’s so amazing and inspiring to watch all these athletes!

    • I CANNOT believe it either!!! I’m looking forward to cooler temps but not the dark nights! So incredibly inspiring! I watched the indoor cycling event where after every other lap, someone is eliminated.. I had never seen that before and thought it was pretty cool!
