This past week of training was awesome. I may not have done have speed work or hill repeats, but since I completed 2 long runs within 6 days, my total mileage for the week was pretty high 🙂 I’ve really been focusing on stretching to make sure I don’t hurt myself.
Hartford Marathon – Week 6
Monday [8/8] – 15 miles -> it was hot AF! Not sure what I was thinking going running in the middle of the afternoon. I definitely stopped to walk a few times.

Tuesday [8/9] – Rest Day
Wednesday [8/10] – 5 miles + ab asanas
Thursday [8/11] – 7 miles
Friday [8/12] – 5 miles + ab asanas
Saturday [8/13] – 7 miles + ab asanas
Sunday [8/14] – 16 miles
TOTAL MILEAGE = 55 miles
I’m thankful the rest of August isn’t as busy as the whole summer has been. It was nice to spend the weekend getting everything in order & relaxing. Hard to believe it’s already mid-August though! 53 days till race day!

Did you watch the women’s Olympic marathon? OMG I couldn’t imagine running 26.2 miles in 2:24… truly incredible.
