I’m always on the hunt to try out some new fitness classes to try out! My bank account might not appreciate it, but what better way to spend your money than on a sweat session?
Fitness Classes I Want To Try
Body by Simone – Let’s be real, the only main reason I want to take one of these classes is because I want to run into a celebrity a.k.a Taylor Swift & Selena Gomez. This high energy dance cardio class features tiny hand weights and dance choreography galore to help you get in shape & slim down. The reviews I’ve read on these classes were mostly good, however, it’s $35 a class so that’s not very affordable in my book. Not that it really matters though considering there are only 3 studios- one in NYC and two in LA! This doesn’t make me want to try it any less- I will take a class eventually!
SUP Yoga – Looks like so much fun! I’ve only had one experience with a stand up paddle board and it wasn’t very pretty. Maybe because it was senior year spring break in Miami? Probably. However, I’ve heard great things so I must try it out! While I’ve had my eye on trying one of these classes all summer, Happy Fit Mama’s post on 10 Reasons Why You Should Try SUP Yoga really made me pull the trigger! I’m planning on taking a class in 2 weeks and hope that my balance is on par that day 🙂
TRX – This class looks intimidatingly intense! TRX is an effective way to build muscle while combining cardio with strength training using suspension straps. The gym where I take boxing classes also teaches TRX so I’ve watched many classes while throwing some punches. It’s a serious workout and one that I need to try at least once!
Aerial Yoga – Another class that also looks like so much fun! I’ve read that these classes really get the blood flowing which leads to feeling clear-headed and energetic after class.. sign me up! From the research I’ve done, classes are fairly affordable for a 75 minute session. I’m thinking that Aerial Yoga is not only a good way to unwind, but also the perfect way to kick your yoga practice up a notch!
Jazzercise – I have a bunch of friends & co-workers who LOVE this class. It tends to get a reputation as an ‘easy’ class where everyone is ‘in leotards and leggings’ due to its name, but apparently it’s a really great workout. The best thing about Jazzercise (for me) is the studio is less than a mile from where I live so it’s a perfect to run to & from class as a warm up/cool down!
