Hartford Marathon Training – Week 3

Week 3 is in the books! It was another solid week of training, that’s for sure! Yesterday officially marked 11 weeks until race day & I know they are going to fly by 🙂 I’m really loving getting in that marathon training groove!

Hartford Marathon – Week 3

Monday [7/18] – 5 easy miles

Tuesday [7/19] – 5 miles w/20 min tempo + ab asanas

Wednesday [7/20] – 6 easy miles + ab asanas

Thursday [7/14] – 1.5 mile warm up + 6×800 w/ 2:15 recovery + 1.5 mile cool down

Friday [7/15] – Rest Day!

Saturday [7/16] – Rest Day!

Sunday [7/17] – 13 (slow & steady) miles

TOTAL MILEAGE = 35 miles


Another fun weekend is also in the books! Bruin had his first camping experience. Although the weather wasn’t the best (just a casual hail storm, pouring rain & 60mph winds) & we hung out in the car a bunch, I think he enjoyed himself! Unfortunately, the weather sucked yesterday too so we decided to come back home instead of spending another night at the camp ground.

This morning I woke up and went for my long run. It felt great! I probably could have kept running but I was starving. Rookie mistake = not eating before running. I’m glad I had a stinger waffle for during my run though! After my run, I successfully made protein pancakes for some re-fuelage.. finally! The last 2 recipes that I’ve tried have been a total fail. I’m excited to share this recipe later this week 🙂
