The way you start each day is key -> “the secret to your success is found in your daily routine” <- which is why you should start your day with a glass of warm lemon water! You want to avoid ice cold water first thing in the morning (ugh) because your digestive system & other internal organs have been rejuvenating themselves all night so an ice cold beverage is not quite the wake up call they’re looking for. If you know me then you know that I LOVE ICE WATER (#aquaholic) so getting into this routine was a little harder than it should be for most. However, it’s also one of the best decision I’ve made.  I like to squeeze an entire lemon in mine to get as much of the benefits as I can.

Vitamin C -> One lemon contains 187% of the recommended daily allowance! Vitamin C is one of the easiest & quickest ways to boost your immune system. Lemon juice also offers up a healthy serving of potassium, magnesium and copper.

I gave up coffee over 2 months ago now and this has helped me greatly kick my coffee habit (along with green tea). Additionally, just the scent of a lemon has been found to reduce stress levels and improve moods. Don’t forget to offer a glass to grumpy co-workers 😉
