5 Weeks Out From Lake Placid

The Lake Placid Marathon is going to be here before I know it. Obviously I’m feeling nervous but I’m also really looking forward to racing a full again since my last one did not go so well (recap here)! I’m also looking forward racing basically with no goals… other than to cross the finish line with a smile on my face.

The past week of training was pretty low key:

Monday- Yoga For Runners class

Tuesday- 4 miles

(brought the lobsters out of retirement)

Wednesday- Rest Day

Thursday- 6 miles >> 2.5 with my pup & 3.5 solo!

Friday- 4 miles

Saturday- 5 miles

Sunday- 7 miles

Total Milage: 26 Miles

I have such a love/hate relationship with Sunday’s. I hate it because it’s back to work tomorrow. The ‘Sunday Scaries’ are a real thing.. but! I love it because of grocery shopping, long runs, meal prepping, and generally getting my life together for the week. I’ve been meal prepping my lunch & snacks for the last few months now and it has made my mornings so much easier. On this week’s menu is turkey burgers with steamed broccoli, sautéed onions & peppers, and quoina. For snacks I have watermelon, carrots, bananas, bliss balls (more to come on this!), and cashews & picky bars (not pictured because I have a stash at work). I also made some peanut butter chia seed pudding for breakfast!

The outdoor farmer’s market finally opened this weekend… so pumped! I love walking around & getting local veggies, fresh blooms, and green juice! (and taking casual pictures with said things)
