What I Ate Wednesday [#1]

What I Ate Wednesday [#1]

A reoccurring post I’ve seen on a lot of the blogs I follow is What I Ate Wednesday -> hosted by Jenn @ Peas & Carrots:

What I Ate Wednesday is about food and fun! It’s about making new friends, breaking out of a food rut, noting changes in your diet/lifestyle, inspiring yourself and others, embracing fruit and vegetables, nourishing your body with the foods that work for you, finding new ways to eat your favorite foods, and so. much. more. <3

I decided that I wanted to do my first #WIAW post! I don’t think I will be posting this every week, but I’m excited to join in on the fun. It’s interesting to see what other people, especially runners who are training for fall marathons, are using to fuel themselves up with. I’ve gotten some good ideas already!

WHAT I ATE WEDNESDAY

I’m still struggling with hoping on the 5am train. Some days I get up and run, other days the snooze button is my best friend. Slowly but surely I will be fully committed. Breakfast (Freckled Fact: I can’t say this word right so I try to avoid saying it around people who’ve never heard me say it) this morning:IMG_7805

Chocolate vegan protein powder + banana + soy milk + ice and avocado smash w/ hot sauce on top… hit the spot! I <3 avocado.

Next up -> snack time #1! I had almonds that I didn’t take a picture of because I was in workflow consulting all day and didn’t bring my phone with me. Since we did have to be in this ‘training’ all day, my company bought us lunch!

Veggie sandwich and salad that had the best dressing ever! Some type of sesame dressing. I had more salad after I took this picture.

Snack time #2:IMG_7808

After I got home from work, I went out for an easy 5 miler. When I got back I made myself some dinner… the lentils were a bit under cooked but oh well.IMG_7819

lentils + baked kale + squash & broccoli & peppers

In a few minutes, I plan on eating this delicious looking nectarine. It’s at that stage where it’s going to be absolutely perfect! IMG_7816

Thanks for hosting, Jenn!
