July Things

July Things

Rabbit Rabbit! I’m really not sure what the origin of that saying is, but I’ve been saying it since the 6th grade when I moved to New Jersey from Staten Island, NY in 01′. All the school kids would say it on the first day of every month so I’ve said it ever since. Nowadays, I like to send the rabbit emojis to my friends from home because I noticed that when I went away to college, it was a mixed bag between people understanding what it meant or not, so I just stick to the people who I learned it from.

(my friends think they are funny)

I love July for a few reasons:

  • My birthday is this month! In a short 25 days, I’ll be turning 25! Crazy that I’m joining the quarter-century club because my 21st feels like yesterday.
  • Pond Party! This annual get-together is hosted by my dear friend Maria (I’ve talked about her a lot!). It takes place at her parents’ home in upstate NY. They own a big piece of property with a pond on it, so we head up every summer for a long weekend of camping & shenanigans. It’s a great event to catch up with our group of college friends. We leave tomorrow night for the best weekend of the year!!!
  • TAYLOR SWIFT IS IN 10 DAYS! I literally can’t wait and can’t say it enough. I’m going with a few girlfriends from home. I went with my best friend Sandy 2 years ago and I’m pretty sure we were worse than 12 year old little girls. Everyone we sat near hated us as we sang our hearts out. Sorry (not sorry) in advance to whoever we sit next to this year. No shame. Hey Taylor!IMG_7253
